What have I chosen as the topic for this post? Macs! Until recently, I've never used a Mac other than to briefly register for classes (which was semi-frightening because I was in a race against time on a computer I didn't really know how to operate). I always thought that they seemed kind of cool, but were for slightly pretentious hipsters. I know, judgmental much? But I really didn't know much about them at all. When it came time for me to get a laptop for college, through a series of conversations, I ended up with a MacBook Pro. And I absolutely love it so far! I'm a little confused, but it seems pretty intuitive. Other than my far too numerous attempts to copy with control-C rather than command-C and other minor issues, I'm doing okay.
One surprisingly addictive thing about the Mac is Photo Booth. I really don't know why I like it so much because it does many of the things that my old non-built-in webcam and its software did, but I find myself sitting there for long periods of time snapping ridiculous pictures. Maybe it's just my small-minded awe at a built-in webcam. Anyway, I used to laugh at all the people that would post douchey Photo Booth pictures on facebook containing any combination of the following: duckface, peace sign, an attempt to look "gangsta", faux kissing, real kissing, and faux shock. So why the heck am I doing these things? It's like as soon as I see the 3..2..1 my brain freezes and is taken control by someone who is a complete moron. I wouldn't dream of posting these idiotic pictures of myself of facebook at the moment, but if my condition progresses, who knows?
